In the world of Teaching, articles about new ways to use technology in the classroom are everywhere. Every teaching blog, newsletter, magazine and seminar covers new uses of technology. Teachers are constantly told that you, students of the 21st century, use technology every day, are tech-saavy, and need to be taught WITH technology because that is how you learn best. We are also told that, in order to prepare you for the modern workforce, we need to teach you HOW to use new technology effectively.Respond to that idea. What do you think about it? Do you think that teachers could be more effective if they used technology tools (think podcasts, web videos, online discussion forums, electronic assignment submission, tech-related project assignments)? Are modern students technologically inclined? What about being a student in Utah? Do you think that being in Utah keeps you a little behind-the-times as far as technology learning is concerned? Would YOU do better if more multi-media was used in your classrooms to teach and present, and for you to demonstrate your learning and communicate?
I think that our world is progressing and if you want a good job in the future then you do need to be tech savvy. I also believe that they should not just throw it at us all at once. They should give it to us a little at a time. We should start using computers more for typing papers, but we should still write on paper to keep that alive.
I think that teachers should use more electronics but not so much that its confusing for us. i would not like to learn on a web video i like when the teacher is in the same room and teaching us.
Being in Utah does not keep us behind. I have lived in a lot of other countries and as far i know we are not behind. If technology was used in the classroom than i would be ok with it. I think it would help prepare us for the future.

Teachers
Since we're reading Nothing But The Truth, which involves a boy who doesn't get along with a teacher, I want you to consider teacher-student relationships you've had in the past. Have you had teachers that you just got along with whether or not you did well in their class? Have you had teachers whose personality just didn't mesh with yours? Without naming names, expound upon these ideas and thoughtfully consider how personality differences or similarities have affected you in your classes.
If i did not do well in a class i prob hated the teacher. Why would you get along with a person that is failing you? It just does not happen. Unless all you get are F's. I have had a LOT of crappy teachers. One in 5Th grade hated me because of my religion. Others were just annoying and still acted like teenagers when they are single 35 and teach.
If the teacher is lame then i don't do good in the class. I need a teacher who is fun and can be serious, someone not boring but i can still learn from them.
I have also had a lot of good teachers. I loved my 6Th grade teacher. Also my 7Th and 8Th grade English teacher. I also like all my teachers right now, so far...
